ENCHANTED FOREST by Sandra T

“Enchanted Forest” captures the mysterious energy of a forest at dusk, where deep shadows, intense colour, and layered textures create a sense of movement and hidden life.

Built through multiple layers of rich colour, black and deep red tones emerge and disappear beneath the surface, creating the feeling of a forest alive with secrets. The sponge technique adds an organic, atmospheric quality, while the sculptural impasto textures bring depth and dimension to the composition.

The storm-like layers suggest movement through the trees, as though wind, clouds, and shifting light are passing through the forest. Each layer reveals something different, inviting the eye to explore the surface and discover colours hidden beneath the darkness.

With its wabi-sabi character, “Enchanted Forest” embraces imperfection, raw texture, and the beauty of unpredictability. It is an atmospheric statement piece that brings depth, mystery, and a sense of nature into the interior.
